Do I need to put eggs in the fridge?
Not straight away. Our eggs are unwashed, so they still have a natural coating that keeps bacteria out. You can leave them on the bench, somewhere cool and out of the sun. In warmer months, or if you'd just rather, pop them in the fridge.
Is delivery free?
Right now, yes โ delivery is free for everyone, in every zone, until 31 July. From 1 August, Zone 1 stays free; Zone 2 has a $1.99 delivery fee; Zone 3 (Beveridge and Wallan) has a $2.99 delivery fee. Check the Delivery page to see which zone you're in.
How do the loyalty stars work?
You get 1 star for every tray โ doesn't matter if you picked it up or had it delivered. Once you've got 11 stars, your next tray is free.
What's "the bloom" people talk about?
It's a natural coating the hen puts on the egg as she lays it. It seals the shell and keeps bacteria out. Once an egg is washed, that coating is gone โ which is why shop-bought eggs need the fridge.
How does the subscription actually work?
Pick weekly, fortnightly, or monthly delivery โ minimum 2 trays each time. You're billed automatically and safely through Square. Change your mind or cancel any time, no contracts.
Which suburbs do you deliver to?
Kalkallo, Donnybrook, Mickleham, Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Greenvale, Epping, Wollert, South Morang, Mernda, Mill Park, Thomastown, Beveridge and Wallan. See the Delivery page for zones and postcodes. We're hoping to add more of Melbourne's North soon.
What days do you deliver?
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Which day you land on depends on your delivery zone's route.
Can I skip a delivery or cancel?
Of course. Just let us know before your next delivery is due, and we'll skip it, change your plan, or cancel altogether โ whatever you need.
Are your eggs good for baking?
